Low Code / No Code & AI as game changers

Low Code / No Code & AI as game changers – what we learned from #btt

What an evening at the last Between the Towers event! Over 80 participants joined us as we took a closer look at low code/no code & AI.

Steve Haupt from andrena objects showed us where low code and no code technology really stands today and how GenAI is changing the game. Hendrik Schulze from vectorsoft proved that medium-sized companies and start-ups can make real leaps in workflow digitalization with low code. And the IBM duo Tuhina Tomar and Nabil Akir demonstrated live how AI agents are created without any programming and how the process works.

Best of all, many questions from the audience showed how relevant the topic is in practice – from legacy integration and citizen developers to specific use cases in banking.

AI creates apps in 2 minutes – no programming required! | Steve Haupt, andrena objects

What used to take months, AI now does in 2 minutes. Steve Haupt (andrena objects) demonstrates live how he creates a functional app without writing a single line of code—and you can do it right away. What you will learn:

• Why 99% of people have never been able to program (and how AI is changing that)

• 3 tools that work right away: TLDraw, Make.com, N8N

• Live demo: From idea to app draft in under 5 minutes

• The “vibe coding” trick: Just say what you want – AI does the rest

• Where the limits lie (and what mistakes to avoid)

Steve is an AI expert at andrena objects and was the first person in the 400-person company to learn GenAI. His assessment: “Currently good enough for weekend projects” – but development is continuing at a rapid pace.

Program 5-10 times faster! SMEs revolutionize productivity with low code | Hendrik Schulze, Vectorsoft

Skills shortages, high development costs, years-long project durations – traditional software development is pushing small and medium-sized businesses to their limits. Hendrik Schulze (vectorsoft) shows how low-code solves these problems and why his company “provocatively claims” it is 5-10 times faster than conventional development. From Excel spreadsheets with nested macros to professional apps with 1000+ users – all via drag & drop in the browser.

Hendrik demonstrates live how startups create MVPs in hours instead of months, how Swiss disaster control authorities have digitized their siren management, and why every admin can build their own app.

Concrete success stories: outpatient care service with employee booking system, AI-driven field service apps with text-to-speech, and a CRM system that was “clicked together in no time.” Best of all, nothing has to be thrown away – from MVP to scalable product.

No Code. No Limits: AI agents for practical use in banking – without any programming I Tuhina Tomar and Nabil Akir, IBM

AI is transforming banking—and you can be part of it without writing a single line of code. In this presentation, Tuhina Tomar (AI Engineer, IBM) and Nabil Akir (Platform Engineer) will show you how to use no-code tools to develop powerful AI agents that deliver real added value. You will learn from concrete practical examples how generative AI and agent-based solutions can be quickly and easily turned from an idea into an application – and how you can use them in your everyday work.

Would you like to attend our next “Between the Towers” event? We look forward to seeing you there! Every first Tuesday of the month, we discuss topics that are relevant to the finance and tech scene. For each event, we invite industry experts to discuss a specific topic. Afterwards, there will be plenty of opportunity to network over snacks and drinks.
